Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Manages the Shift according to the applicable standards of AFMAN 21-200, DAFMAN 21-201 and Munitions SOP.

Develops production schedules and goals to meet the requirements of daily timelines, special taskers, special projects and contingency support. Submits these schedules to Munitions Superintendent for final approval.

Utilizes TICMS to the maximum extent possible in all production efforts and processes.

Verifies that personnel complete all accountability documentation that is an integral part of production actions and submitted on a timely manner to the applicable element.

Identifies and advises the Munitions Superintendent of limiting factors that impact goals and timelines.

Advises Munitions Superintendent about personnel performance and all production actions, to include root causes and solutions to correct negative trends in the Department's performance.

Monitors the skills and proficiency of assigned personnel as is impacts production efforts.

Conducts sample surveillance audits of different processes in munitions production.

Conducts end-of-shift verification to ensure all required facilities are correctly secured.

Analyzes the timely compliance of TCTOs and delayed maintenance for munitions and MMHE with aggressive follow-up action for back-ordered parts.

Tracks training requirements and ensures personnel receive necessary training.

Ensures that personnel inspect, operate and perform operator maintenance on light vehicles and support equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and manual hoists.

Ensures personnel properly utilize CTKs, special tool needs, bench stock requirements, MMHE and support equipment commensurate with production efforts.

Ensures that personnel accurately calculate and observe the net explosives limits of all storge and operating locations commensurate with production actions.

Verifies that visual inspections on lightning protection and static ground systems are performed and documented in accordance with applicable governing publications.

Ensures Munitions Control is informed of fire symbol, hazard marker, Risk Category or classified munitions changes that effect munitions storage and maintenance facilities.

Performs entry-controller duties as required.

Works necessary hours, to include stand-by duties, to support mission requirements during peacetime and combat contingencies.

Perform required actions in TICMS utilizing the "Receiver" role.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Works in normal office and maintenance shop or warehouse environment and may be required to work outdoors for extended periods.

Desired Candidate Profile

Must have intermediate knowledge of the USAF Supply, TMO, Munitions and Tech Order systems or US service equivalent.

Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office to include as a minimum Power Point, Excel and Word programs.

May be required to operate material handling equipment.

Must possess a valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain host nation driver's license.

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Must have a minimum seven years' experience with USAF Military Munitions or US service equivalent.

Must have a minimum of five years combined supervisory experience in USAF munitions activities and MMHE or US service equivalent.

Must be capable of attending the USAF Munitions Inspector Course.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain Secret Clearance.

Will be required to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to prescribed procedures and as required for task being performed.

Physically capable of performing all required duties; capable of lifting/pushing/pulling minimum of 50 lbs.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Must have normal color perception and depth of vision.

The Munitions Shift Supervisor is a highly experienced Munitions Inspector/Technician who plans and directs the Munitions Dept's Shift production efforts (munitions/MMHE receipt, storage, inspection, maintenance, reconstitution and shipping) in accordance with established safety, technical and operational accountability standards. Operates Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS). Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
