We seek a highly skilled MWP Senior Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize the Skype for Business platform. This role demands deep expertise in Skype for Business architecture, along with experience in unified communications, system integration, and disaster recovery planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain Skype for Business servers, ensuring optimal performance and system reliability.
• Manage voice, video, and messaging services within the Skype for Business environment, ensuring a smooth user experience.
• Integrate Skype for Business with other business tools, such as Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, and external communication systems.
• Develop and maintain DR strategies for Skype for Business, handling failover and switch-back procedures during disaster recovery scenarios.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Skype for Business, integrations, and hybrid environments.
• Provide user training and create documentation to enhance user understanding of the platform and its features.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support system upgrades, patches, and migrations, including Microsoft Teams if needed.
• Monitor system performance and implement solutions to improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and data privacy regulations in relation to communication services.
• Deliver technical training sessions to both IT staff and end-users on Skype for Business functionalities, updates, and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Skype for Business Administrator or in a similar role.
• Expertise on Skype for Business must have at least 3 years of profound knowledge in management, configuration, Implementation, troubleshooting, the product architecture, and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong knowledge of SIP protocols, VoIP technologies, and network management.
• Experience with Skype for Business integrations into other platforms such as Exchange, Outlook, and external systems.
• Familiarity with DR failover/switch-back procedures and business continuity strategies.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams migration and hybrid environments.
• Strong skills in training delivery and creating user-friendly documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent.
• Experience with Office 365, Exchange, and SharePoint integration.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.
