Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a passionate and experienced MYP Design & Technology Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB curriculum and standards.
- Foster an inquiry-based learning approach that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and self-reflection.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and school administration.
- Support students' social and emotional well-being, promoting a positive classroom culture.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary units, share resources, and participate in school activities and events.
- Stay current with developments in IB teaching practices, attending professional development sessions as needed.
Desired Candidate Profile
03 Years Full-Time bachelor s degree in education-related field or relevant subject matter area. Masters in relevant subject area is preferred.
05 years of full-time teaching experience including 03 Years of IB Experience at the relevant grade level and/or in the relevant subject area preferred.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Teaching License or equivalent strongly preferred.
Post Graduate qualification in an education related field desirable.
International Baccalaureate experience an advantage as applicable.
Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
Strong organization, planning, and time management skills.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely, Arabic proficiency an advantage.
Proficiency in Computer literacy (word-processing, spreadsheets, etc.) and familiarity with curriculum management and learning management applications.
