Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the Project Development, Reporting and Grants Management Officer, and the direct supervision of the Programme Officer
(Partnerships & Localization).
Education
- Bachelor s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
- Master s degree in the above-mentioned fields from an accredited academic university or institute.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database .
Experience
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Experience in working with civil society organizations and advancing the localization agenda
- Experience and strong familiarity with IOM s operating procedures for implementing partnership management
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of localization programming and IOM s institutional approaches and frameworks for partnerships.
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
- Knowledge of IOM s financial rules and regulations for implementing partners.
Languages
- Fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic is required.
IOM s official languages are English, French and Spanish.

Desired Candidate Profile
