Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The National Roaming & Site Sharing Specialist will be responsible for leading and managing the operations of National Roaming projects, from contract development to profitability analysis, risk assessment, and market strategy and performance. Plus Site-Sharing initiatives with local partner, and interconnection strategies. This role ensures seamless connectivity, cost efficiency, and competitive positioning in the telecom industry, plus compliance with regulatory requirements while driving strategic partnerships, profitability, and contractual excellence.
- National Roaming Strategy & Management:
- Manage national roaming agreements with local telecom operators.
- Monitor roaming traffic, performance, and revenue optimization strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Site Sharing Leadership:
- Oversee site-sharing agreements to optimize infrastructure utilization and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of shared sites.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment for site-sharing initiatives.
- Drive innovation in infrastructure sharing to enhance network expansion.
- Business Case Development & Profitability Management
- Prepare detailed business cases for national roaming and site-sharing initiatives.
- Analyze financial models, cost structures, and revenue streams to maximize profitability.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining service quality.
- Monitor financial performance, ensuring return on investment for roaming and site-sharing projects.
- Ensure accurate billing, settlements, and dispute resolution for interconnection services.
- Monitor interconnection traffic and quality of service.
- Risk Assessment & Market Dynamics
- Conduct risk analysis for national roaming agreements, identifying potential challenges.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes.
- Develop mitigation plans to address market risks and competitive threats.
- Regulatory & Compliance:
- Stay updated on national telecom regulations affecting roaming/Interconnection and site sharing.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and resolve disputes.
- Stakeholder & Partner Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with telecom operators, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead negotiations and contract management for National roaming and site-sharing agreements.
- Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory discussions.
- Ensure smooth collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
- Technical & Operational Oversight:
- Work closely with network and IT teams to enhance roaming and site-sharing services.
- Analyze data to improve service quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices for network optimization and cost reduction.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum [5] years of experience in telecom National roaming, site sharing, & interconnection management.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Good speaker in Arabic & English.
- Knowledge of telecom regulations and industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Experience in contract development, risk mitigation, and legal aspects of telecom agreements.
