Job Title and Department
Naval Mechanic / Engine Fitter
Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks
Corrective and preventive repairs / overhauls of 2- and 4-stroke diesel engines on board ships and power plants. Also complete maintenance and repair of turbochargers, gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, compressors, coolers, pumps, separators, etc.
Reporting Line (Manager, Team)
Reports to Mechanics Manager assigned to.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education and Certification Requirements
Vocational School in Mechanics or Engine Fitter on board cargo ships of more than 3000 kW.
Hands-on experience with repair and maintenance on diesel engines above 3000 kW on ships and power plants. Also experience with repairs of turbochargers, gearboxes, hydraulic cylinders, compressors, coolers, pumps, separators, etc.
Capacity to read and understand manuals.
Driving license.
