Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot marine navigation and communication equipment, including Radar, ECDIS, Gyro Compass, AIS, VDR, and GMDSS.

  • Provide onboard technical support to vessels at local and regional ports as per operational requirements.

  • Perform inspections, testing, calibration, and fault diagnosis of navigation and communication systems.

  • Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with IMO, SOLAS, Class, and Flag State regulations.

  • Coordinate with ship staff, port authorities, and internal office teams to execute service activities efficiently.

  • Prepare detailed service reports, test records, and job completion documentation.

  • Attend emergency breakdowns and support time-critical service calls when required.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

  • Proven hands-on experience with marine navigation and communication systems.

  • Strong understanding of shipboard safety practices and operational procedures.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.

  • Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels as required.

  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication and coordination skills for working with ship crews and shore teams.

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and perform under pressure.

  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations and industry standards.
