Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain the organization s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls, servers, etc.).
  • Ensure network security by implementing and managing firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and regular patching.
  • Perform regular system and network monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, and key processes.
  • Manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS), ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Conduct regular data backups and develop disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to support infrastructure requirements for business applications, systems, and projects.
  • Maintain documentation related to network configuration, system settings, processes, and service records.
  • Respond to and resolve network and infrastructure incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in managing and maintaining enterprise networks and infrastructure systems.
  • Hands-on experience with networking equipment (Cisco, Fortinet, Ubiquiti, etc.) and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
  • Proficiency in server administration (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
  • Solid understanding of network security principles, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, CompTIA Network+, Azure Administrator).
