Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy, configure, and manage virtual network and security appliances (Firewalls, VPN gateways, virtual ADCs)
  • Operate and maintain private cloud environments (VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V, OpenStack)
  • Design and support public cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNet, routing, gateways)
  • Implement and manage virtual firewalls (Sophos, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco, etc.)
  • Design and maintain hybrid connectivity (IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, SD-WAN) between on-prem and cloud
  • Configure routing, NAT, security policies, and traffic inspection in virtual environments
  • Ensure high availability and redundancy for virtual appliances
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network and security issues using logs and packet captures
  • Support security best practices and segmentation in cloud and virtual platforms
  • Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and cloud providers for issue resolution
  • Maintain network/security documentation, diagrams, and SOPs

  • Qualifications:
  • Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in network and security engineering or a related role.
  • Proven experience managing hybrid IT environments with both on-premises and cloud resources.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Fortigate and Sophos security solutions is highly advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
  • Experience with network and security appliances from vendors such as Cisco, Fortigate, Palo Alto, or Sophos.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds, Wazuh).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
