Roles & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Network & Security Engineer to operate within QIG ICT/Infrastructure section. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network and security operations, with a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and design data center (DC) network infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot complex network issues within the data center.

  • Monitor and analyze logs using SIEM tools (e.g., FortiSIEM, LogRhythm,).

  • Manage and configure firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet) and VPNs (IPSec, SSL, Site-to-Site, Remote Access).

  • Provide incident response support and remote assistance for users.

  • Support in a 24X7 SOC environment in coordination with MSSP, monitoring and analyzing security alerts and events.

  • Investigate suspicious activity, perform threat hunting, and respond to confirmed threats.

  • Generate regular reports based on SLAs and ISO/Audit requirements.

  • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cybersecurity trends.

  • Analyze and respond to hardware/software vulnerabilities and security incidents.

  • Coordinate & ensure ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standards for information security management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical Skills & Expertise:

  • Network Design & Implementation (LAN/WAN)

  • Switch Configuration (Cisco, Aruba)

  • WiFi Controller Management (Aruba)

  • Firewall & WAF Configuration (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Web Application Firewalls)

  • VPN Technologies (IPSec, SSL, Remote Access)

  • Network Monitoring & Analysis (Wireshark)

  • SIEM Platforms (FortiSIEM, LogRhythm)

  • Intrusion Detection & Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Cloud Security (AWS, Azure Security Center)

  • Patch Management (GFI Languard/other)

Qualifications:

Team player

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Preferred certifications: CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISA, MCSA/MCSE, CCNA, ITIL, ISO/IEC 27001:2022.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently i& as part of Team in high pressure environments.
