Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- A Network & Security Engineer plays a crucial role in the IT infrastructure of an organization, ensuring both the performance of the network and the safety of the data and systems. Their work encompasses designing secure network environments, responding to security incidents, performing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Effective communication, analytical skills, and up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies are essential to success in this role.
- Design, configure, and install network security solutions including firewalls, UTMs,
analyzers, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Establish and maintain secure connectivity using VPN technologies for multiple sites
and external clients.
- Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for
network and security solutions.
- Implement and manage Fortinet technologies including FortiGate, FortiWAN, and
FortiNAC.
- Administer and troubleshoot F5 Load Balancers including LTM and APM modules.
- Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers and switches, including Wireless LAN
Controllers (WLC).
- Work with various IP routing protocols and implement automatic failover solutions to
ensure high availability.
- Provide onsite and offsite technical support for network and security incidents.
- Manage network and host-based security including firewall administration, VPN access,
incident response, and security event monitoring.
- Enforce firewall access policies based on defined access rights and security
requirements.
• Implement and troubleshoot remote access solutions for employees and partners.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation and configuration records.
• Generate and analyze detailed traffic reports covering administrative events, virus
detections, IPS attacks, and web content filtering activities.
• Address vulnerabilities identified through network scans and provide evidence and
resolutions in line with internal and external security reviews.
• Analyze network requirements and design tailored technical solutions while overseeing
the preparation of technical proposals.
• Continuously monitor and enhance the network infrastructure to align with security
best practices and organizational goals.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as aBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Cisco Collaboration Engineer, with expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco collaboration solutions
- Strong knowledge of Cisco collaboration products, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX), Cisco Webex, and other collaboration tools
- Experience with network infrastructure and protocols, including TCP/IP, SIP, QOS, and VLANS
- Excellent understanding of VolP technologies, codecs, and codecs negotiation
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex network and collaboration issues
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration.
- 5 years’ experience, with expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco collaboration solutions
- Strong knowledge of Cisco collaboration products, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX), Cisco Webex, and other collaboration tools
