Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Takes full responsibility for the care of patients attending his/her allocated Neurophysiology lab or referred.

  • Performs evoked potential (visual, auditory) and Nerve conduction procedures.
  • Performs routine, video, sleep deprived and portable EEG.
  • He/she is responsible to perform EEG for Dama dead patients.
  • Assists physicians while they perform needle EMG, while handling EMG machine, print out recording tracing.
  • Perform pediatric EEG or neonatal EEG, pediatric ABR, on children who need sedation. Coordinate with ER doctors and nurses for sedation and monitoring by them during the procedure and send back to ER for further monitoring.
  • Attends appropriate meetings of staff as directed by the Head of Internal Medicine.
  • Participates in the planning and budgeting for Neurophysiology Lab as requested by the Head of Internal Medicine.
  • Develops and co-ordinates the Quality Improvement Program within his/her area of responsibilities.
  • Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families to better understand and participate in their care and make well informed care decisions.
  • Performs any other duties within the range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by Head of Department.

Desired Candidate Profile

At least 2 years experience in Neurophysiology.

  • Essential: Diploma in Neurophysiology or Diploma in Electroencephalography or Neurophysiology training approved by Dallah Hospital.
