Roles & Responsibilities
The Nominated Signatory Manager is responsible for leading the review, approval, and governance review of promotional and non-promotional materials, activities, events, and digital engagement initiatives to ensure compliance with local regulations, industry codes, and AstraZeneca policies. The role acts as a key business partner to cross-functional teams, enabling compliant and effective execution across medical, marketing, and external stakeholder engagement activities.
The role is accountable for providing clear, practical, and risk-based governance feedback to support business decision-making while protecting the company s ethical and compliance standards. This includes reviewing promotional and non-promotional materials, digital content, external funding activities, scientific meetings, congresses, HCP/HCO engagements, and health education initiatives.
The role reviews meetings for initial approval of specified materials and activities, ensuring decisions are consistent, timely, and well documented. It also supports first-line quality review and monitoring activities, using risk assessment principles to identify priorities, strengthen controls, and support follow-up actions including CAPA where required.
The Nominated Signatory Manager is also responsible for managing and enhancing KSA digital platforms relevant activities. This includes ensuring that content is informative & compliant. The role supports the review of websites, newsletters, email communications, and other approved channels.
The Nominated Signatory Manager also maintains oversight of governance documentation and ensures SOP inventory for KSA hubs remains updated and aligned with current policies, regulations, and working practices. The role supports internal governance training and knowledge-sharing initiatives and acts as a day-to-day advisor to the business on governance, ethical interactions, and compliant engagement practices.
The role covers end-to-end responsibility for the review and approval of specified materials and activities linked to promotion, scientific exchange, HCP/HCO interactions, digital engagement, and non-promotional health education.
The role adds value to the company by ensuring the business operates in a compliant, ethical, and risk-conscious manner, while also enabling timely and effective execution of business priorities.
The role supports cross-functional collaboration, helping teams expand reach while maintaining compliance and scientific integrity.
Desired Candidate Profile
Candidate must hold a bachelor s degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Strong knowledge of AstraZeneca business policies, procedures, and guidance, particularly those related to product promotion, scientific exchange, ethical interactions, ABAC, and data privacy.
- Good understanding of Saudi FDA regulations and relevant legislation and external codes of practice relating to promotional and non-promotional activities across KSA.
- Demonstrated experience in reviewing materials, activities, or events and supporting governance, approval, compliance, or nominated signatory processes.
- Strong understanding of digital governance fundamentals, with the ability to support implementation of awareness campaigns, and digital platforms content review.
- Ability to provide sound governance judgment, clear written and verbal feedback, and practical risk-based recommendations to stakeholders.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
