The Impact You ll Make in this Role
Due to business growth, we are looking for a Nosology Specialist to join the Health Information Systems team us in Dubai. The role is Hybrid and will require onsite presence around once per week.
As a Nosology Specialist your role will be crucial in ensuring that software are kept current with regulatory updates and the content is aligned by optimizing applications such as Codefinder and 360 Encompass. You will be responsible for creating, supporting and maintaining clinical coding annotations for use within our Product and will be involved with the development of lean rule coding content for the Middle East. The role also provides Nosology support, training, and troubleshooting for end-users.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Support: Provide day-to-day for the development and localisation of annotations & lean rule content for the Middle East market
- Content Creation: Utilize tools to create annotations and lean content, analysing the clinical terminology and apply the learnings to the development of the software before testing is performed. Creating new diagnosis and procedure annotation mappings using the most appropriate lead term, with consideration of gender, minimum age, or maximum age (where necessary)
- Content Testing: Conduct thorough testing of all content creation and Performing concept to code mapping activities
- Quality Assurance: Perform Regular quality checking for broken pathways or pathways without synonyms while reviewing and amending negating terms based on customer feedback, internal quality checks, or classification changes
- User Training: Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they are proficient in using the applications and understand best practices
- Nosology Documentation: Create and maintain Nosology documentation, including user manuals, Jira Tracking, and troubleshooting guides
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT professionals, developers, and stakeholders to understand change requirements and implement solutions
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor application performance, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure high availability and reliability
- Customer Nosology Support: Provide excellent customer service by addressing user concerns promptly and effectively
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Degree in Health Information Management, or equivalent Coding Certifications from CCS, CDIP, AHIMA or AAPC
- Significant and recent experience working with ICD-10-CM, CPT and the Regulatory coding Guidelines for the UAE namely, DOH, DHA and MOH
- Strong understanding of the processes associated with documentation in electronic medical record systems
- Ability to follow established processes, rules and conventions
- Ability to meet appropriate deadlines for inclusion in relevant product releases
- Highly motivated, independent and innovative
- Solid planning, organisational and analytical skills
- Great attention to fine detail
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Confidence in making decisions
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills
