Roles & Responsibilities
Main Areas of Responsibility
Number Portability Traffic Analysis & Optimization
- Analyze MNP and HLR query traffic and operators to identify trends and growth opportunities.
- Monitor query accuracy, latency, success rates, and availability to ensure SLA compliance and service reliability.
- Detect and mitigate data inconsistencies, routing inefficiencies, abuse, and revenue leakage related to portability lookups.
- Optimize query routing and vendor selection to balance cost efficiency, coverage, and performance.
Carrier & Database Provider Relations
- Manage relationships with MNOs, portability database operators and signaling providers.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing models, data access agreements, and capacity commitments for MNP and HLR services.
- Coordinate onboarding and certification of new portability databases and operator connections.
Revenue Strategy & Business Enablement
- Upsell to existing Customers Portfolio
- Onboarding of the new Customers, providing new streams of Revenue
- Define and maintain pricing strategies for number portability and lookup services by market, query type, and SLA level.
- Identify other business opportunities and provide feedback about the product
- Contribute to product packaging and go-to-market strategy for portability-based solutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
The Number Portability Specialist is responsible for the commercial, operational, and analytical management of Number Portability and Number Intelligence services, including MNP, HLR, and related mobile identity lookups.
The role focuses on ensuring accuracy, availability, and monetization of portability data while maintaining strong relationships with clients, portability database providers, and signaling partners.
This position requires deep understanding of number portability ecosystems, signaling flows, regulatory frameworks, and commercial models, combined with strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Experience
- 3 5+ years of experience in number portability, signaling, mobile network services, or carrier relations.
- Hands-on exposure to MNP, HLR, NP databases, or mobile identity solutions is strongly preferred.
Education
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Skills
- Strong understanding of number portability ecosystems, signaling architecture, and mobile network operations.
- Experience working with MNOs, portability authorities, and global data providers.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using tools and operational reporting.
- Ability to translate technical performance into commercial outcomes.
- Strategic, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach.
- Willingness to travel internationally for industry events.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
