About the Role
As an EYFS Teacher, you will be instrumental in creating a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that aligns with the UK’s Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. You’ll foster curiosity, creativity, and independence in our youngest learners while preparing them for a lifelong journey of growth and discovery.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate lessons based on the EYFS curriculum.
Promote a balance of adult-led and child-initiated learning.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL and SEND pupils.
Embed early literacy and numeracy through phonics programmes such as Jolly Phonics or Letters and Sounds.
Assessment & Progress
Observe, assess, and document children’s development using platforms like Tapestry.
Use assessments to plan personalised next steps and track progress.
Provide constructive feedback and maintain strong communication with parents.
Learning Environment
Create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive environment both indoors and outdoors.
Encourage positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and social development.
Reflect and celebrate the diversity of the school community.
Communication & Collaboration
Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and other staff members.
Participate in parent meetings, open days, school events, and extracurricular activities.
Professional Conduct
Uphold the ethos and values of Aldenham Prep Riyadh.
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and behaviour policies.
Engage in ongoing CPD and contribute to school development initiatives.
Person Specification
Essential:
Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE with QTS or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching within the EYFS.
Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and British curriculum expectations.
Desirable:
Experience in international or bilingual school settings.
Paediatric First Aid certification.
Familiarity with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc or Jolly Phonics.
Proficiency with digital assessment tools like Tapestry.
