Nutanix Engineer VaporVM

We are looking for a skilled Senior Nutanix Engineer with
at least 5+ years of experience to design, deploy, and manage Nutanix Cloud
Clusters (NC2) on Azure. The role involves end-to-end cluster provisioning
including node setup, networking, storage, routing, and scale-out architecture,
along with secure integration with Azure and on-premises environments. The
candidate will also lead migration of applications and production workloads
from on-prem to Nutanix, ensuring seamless connectivity, minimal downtime, and
adherence to enterprise security and networking standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy
  Nutanix clusters including full cluster initialization and configuration.
• Configure
  and provision Nutanix nodes, including compute, storage, disk
  configuration and cluster scale-out/expansion.
• Perform
  Nutanix-side network configuration including VLANs, IP addressing,
  subnets, and virtual networking setup.
• Implement
  routing and hybrid connectivity between Nutanix, Azure, and on-prem
  environments using VPN/ExpressRoute and BGP.
• Configure
  whitelisting rules and access control policies to allow secure
  communication between Nutanix, Azure services, and on-prem systems.
• Set
  up and manage Nutanix Flow / Flow Gateway for traffic inspection,
  microsegmentation, and east-west traffic control.
• Coordinate
  and validate Azure networking configurations (VNet integration, UDRs,
  NSGs, firewall routing) required for Nutanix connectivity.
• Plan
  and execute end-to-end migration strategy for applications and production
  workloads from on-premises to Nutanix.
• Perform
  application discovery and dependency mapping to identify migration scope
  and interdependencies.
• Migrate
  workloads using Nutanix Move and other migration tools, including
  physical-to-virtual (P2V) and virtual-to-virtual (V2V) migrations.
• Handle
  migration of systems across multiple operating systems including Windows
  Server and Linux distributions.
• Execute
  pre-migration validation, including resource sizing, compatibility checks,
  and network readiness.
• Perform
  test migrations and pilot runs to validate performance, connectivity, and
  application behavior.
• Manage
  cutover activities, including downtime planning, data synchronization, and
  final switchover.
• Conduct
  post-migration validation and optimization, ensuring applications are
  fully functional and performance is optimized.
• Troubleshoot
  migration-related issues such as network latency, routing gaps, firewall
  blocks, and application dependencies.
• Validate
  and troubleshoot end-to-end connectivity, including routing paths,
  firewall rules, and network flows.
• Perform
  cluster health monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization
  using Nutanix Prism tools.
• Collaborate
  with cloud, network, and security teams to ensure proper hybrid
  architecture and secure deployment.
