Nutritionist Aquaculture & Feed Formulation

Main Accountabilities

• Formulate aquaculture feeds (freshwater, marine fish, shrimp) based on nutritional requirements, life stages, and cost optimization.
• Develop and optimize feed formulations using least-cost formulation tools (e.g., Bestmix or equivalent).
• Support formulation of poultry feed, concentrates, and premixes where required.
• Evaluate raw materials and alternative ingredients for nutritional value, digestibility, and cost efficiency.

Technical Support & Performance Monitoring

• Provide technical and nutritional support to farms, production teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Advise on feeding strategies, feed conversion efficiency, water quality, and growth performance.
• Monitor feed performance and recommend improvements based on field and production data.

Research & Development

• Design and oversee nutritional trials, digestibility studies, and performance evaluations.
• Lead or support experimental protocols, data collection, analysis, and technical reporting.
• Translate R&D findings into practical, commercial feed applications.
• Support innovation initiatives, including new ingredients and formulations.

Production & Quality Collaboration

• Work closely with production and quality teams to ensure feed consistency, quality standards, and formulation accuracy.
• Support troubleshooting related to feed performance or production challenges.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze trial, production, and performance data using statistical tools.
• Prepare technical reports, formulation summaries, and recommendations for management.
• Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, trials, and outcomes.
