Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations (OSHA, ISO 45001, HACCP, GMP).
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments; implement corrective actions.
- Lead safety induction and training for staff on fire safety, chemical handling, PPE, and emergency response.
- Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare reports, and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain safety documentation and audit records (SDS, risk assessments, toolbox talks, etc.).
- Oversee handling/storage of hazardous materials (cleaning agents, ammonia, sanitizers).
- Coordinate fire drills, evacuation exercises, and first aid training.
- Collaborate with QA and Production to align safety with quality and hygiene standards.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through campaigns, posters, and briefings.
- Supervise fire alarm systems (daily checks, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance).
- Provide first aid support and coordinate employee health matters with HR.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 5 years of HSE experience in FMCG, food production, or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO 45001, HACCP, GMP standards.
- Excellent communication, training, and reporting skills.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to influence and build a safety-first culture.
