Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for undertaking and conducting comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patientsusing rehabilitation models to gain maximum potential for the progress of patients condition with the guidanceof senior therapist and/or consultation with the immediate supervisor.

Provide occupational therapy intervention services to patients; assist in maintaining and/or improving quality oflife through remedial actions and activities.

Assess the level of intellectual, physical, mental and social development of adult and pediatric patients andevaluate patient s performance capacity, providing education and training to patients and families in activitiesof daily living.

Confer with Clinical Specialist resources to ensure treatment programs and services are in line with clinicalstandards of practice, policies and procedures and accrediting bodies.

Provide the necessary treatment assistance to VIPs and patients referred from the Business Centre.

Maintain comprehensive written notes on patient s progress for review by other members of the patient careteam.

Liaise with junior staff providing ongoing overview of patient treatment.

Prepare and submit statistical reports detailing workload for review and feedback as required.

Comply with the Health Information System (e.g. BestCare) procedure utilizing appropriate methods ofoperation and technical requirements.

Ensure safe and efficient working equipment, reporting faults and problems through the appropriate channels.

Perform other job related duties.
