Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to support students in developing essential motor, sensory, and functional skills to enhance their academic success and daily life activities. The ideal candidate will provide direct and indirect therapy services, collaborate with educators and parents, and ensure students receive the necessary interventions to promote independence, mobility, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Services:

  • Conduct screenings and assessments to evaluate students physical and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide therapy sessions with a focus on fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, and posture management.
  • Monitor student progress, adjust therapy approaches, and provide ongoing treatment recommendations.

Indirect Services:

  • Write detailed reports, including assessments, progress updates, and discharge summaries.
  • Conduct parent meetings to discuss findings and offer home-based strategies.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement classroom accommodations and modifications.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, ensuring therapy goals align with educational objectives.
  • Provide in-service training for staff on therapeutic techniques and student support strategies.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Maintained accurate documentation and student records.
  • Assist in the selection and ordering of OT equipment and materials.
  • Participate in school-wide events, duty rota, and professional development workshops.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, accreditation standards, and confidentiality guidelines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Occupational Therapy
  • A minimum of three years of pediatric clinical experience in this field
  • Valid certificate(s) and 2 references must be provided
