Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy and operate Oracle DB services in OCI (Autonomous, Cloud Service, Exadata, DB Systems).
  • Lead on premises to OCI migrations (Data Pump, RMAN, GoldenGate, Data Guard).
  • Conduct capacity planning, performance tuning, backup/DR strategy, security (TDE, auditing, role management).
  • Automate tasks with Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, Ansible, PL/SQL, Python, Bash.
  • Monitor systems (OCI Monitoring, AWR/ASH) and execute patches/maintenance.
  • Support developers (schema, indexing, modelling) and maintain documentation.
  • Collaborate across teams (apps, security, infrastructure) and mentor junior DBAs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).

4+ years experience as an Oracle DBA or Database Engineer, preferably with cloud hosted Oracle database services (Oracle cloud experience preferred).

Strong experience in Oracle database administration: installation, configuration, RMAN, Data Pump, Data Guard, GoldenGate, AWR/ASH, SQL/PL SQL tuning.

Familiarity with Autonomous Database and Exadata Cloud is a plus.

Solid understanding of backup & recovery, high availability, patching and database security controls.

Hands on experience with Terraform, OCI CLI, automation/scripting (Python, Bash).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; problem solving and critical thinking abilities.

Fluent in English.
