Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Facility Maintenance

  • Plan day-to-day activities: undertake compulsory protective and preventive procedures to make sure that GCAA facilities are running appropriately. Schedule and monitor the installation and maintenance of air-conditioning, landscaping, lighting, plumbing, electrical power supplies, and other main services to all areas.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are in place to deal with emergencies such as blackouts and shutdown in an effective manner. Undertake proper measures to establish systems to reduce the utilities cost. Analyse utilities bills and release payments. Suggest initiatives for energy saving and cutting cost.
  • Keep and update records and drawings of essential facility equipment and installation, including water isolation valves, fire points, drainage systems, power supplies etc
  • Performs and supervise others in performing routine electrical, mechanical, and landscaping repairs. Purchase necessary supplies, equipment, and materials necessary.

Facility Maintenance Contracts

  • Monitor sub-contractors contracts, evaluate outsource service providers in terms of quality, speed, response rate, accuracy of work done, and offered financial charges. Ensure that all health, safety, and environment requirements are met, monitor their performance in order to recommend contract renewals or termination. Inspect completed work as per the agreed specification. Maintain record of all regular checks undertaken.
  • Review and monitor outsourced service providers service level agreements with respect to emergency and planned maintenance,
  • Undertake routine inspections including daily maintenance checks.

Policies, Systems, Processes and Procedures

  • Implement policies, systems, processes, and procedures so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering high quality in accordance with customer service standards.

Document Management

  • Maintain records of relevant reports, certifications, and general correspondence to ensure proper document management.

Desired Candidate Profile

Master s Degree with no previous experience, or bachelor s degree with 2 years of experience preferably in civil engineering or any relevant discipline.
