Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Preparation work in IDT, ET, and SHX prior to initiating the vacuum and oil process.

  • Conducting transformer vacuuming.

  • Carryout oil circulation in the storage tank.

  • Oil filling and circulation in the transformer.

  • Carrying out oil sampling procedures.

  • Normalizing Conservator rubber bag.

  • Cleaning the transformer and inspecting for any leaks or defects post oil process.

  • Performing pressure and oil leakage tests.

  • Assisting in transformer installation work, providing support to the OEM and project team.

  • Leading the transformer installation team during installation activities.

  • Assisting the testing engineer during the installation, testing, and precommissioning stages.

  • Undertaking minor rectification tasks in the transformer as necessary.

  • Capable for doing transformer accessories installation work along with transformer engineer, especially if the OEM supervisor is unavailable at site (upon OEM recommendation).

  • Supporting other testing engineers and project engineers with testing and installation-related work when transformer area workload is less.

  • Reviewing site Redmarked drawings along with the testing engineer.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • ITI / Diploma / Technical certification in Mechanical or Electrical field preferred.

  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in transformer oil filtration and maintenance activities.

  • Experience working with:

    • High voltage transformers

    • Oil filtration plants

    • Vacuum dehydration systems

    • Transformer maintenance contractors or utilities

  • Knowledge of transformer oil properties and BDV testing preferred.

  • Familiarity with UAE industrial or utility projects is an advantage.

  • Ability to read basic technical instructions and safety procedures.

  • Valid UAE driving license will be an added advantage.


Required Skills

  • Hands-on operation of oil filtration machines

  • Knowledge of transformer maintenance practices

  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting

  • Understanding of electrical safety procedures

  • Teamwork and site coordination

  • Physically fit for field/site work

  • Ability to work overtime or during shutdowns when required
