Skills Provision is searching for an Oilfield Equipment Estimation Engineer for a role in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Role: Oilfield Equipment Estimation Engineer

Contract: 1 year, renewable

Role

• Review project specifications, client needs, and technical drawings to estimate costs and timelines for oilfield equipment.
• Design mechanical systems as per project needs.
• Create 2D/3D models and engineering drawings using CAD and simulation tools.
• Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), data sheets, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support during sales and bidding, including clarifications and value engineering proposals.
• Ensure all designs meet API, ASME, and ANSI standards and comply with HSE regulations.
• Take part in design reviews and risk assessments, offering creative solutions to engineering challenges.
• Stay current with industry developments, materials, and manufacturing technologies.

Candidate Requirements

Mandatory:

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical/Petroleum Engineering, or a similar field.
• A minimum of 7 years experience in design and/or estimation of oil field or heavy industrial equipment.
• Experience in design and modelling of systems, including but not limited to skids, cementing units, pumping units, slickline units, hydraulic power packs, acid tanks, and other upstream equipment.
• Skilled in design software, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor, with strong proficiency in estimation tools such as Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledgeable in codes and standards: API, ASME Section VIII, B31.3, ISO, etc.
• Proven problem-solving ability.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

• Hands-on experience in designing equipment, vessels, and skid packages for upstream service companies.
• Familiarity with international projects and compliance with global engineering standards.
• Certification in project estimation or PMP is advantageous.
