When established in 1977, Oman Flour Mills Company (S.A.O.G.) was the first food manufacturing industry in the Sultanate of Oman. It was also amongst the first companies to be listed on the Muscat Securities Market. The company has two production units for flour and feed milling, apart from a storage unit at the Port Sultan Qaboos which has a grain storage capacity of 1, 20,000 metric tons. Over the years, OFMC has become one of the market leaders in the FMCG industry of the Sultanate of Oman.
The company produces over twenty different varieties of flour and similar products marketed under the brand name “Dahabi” which means ‘golden’ in Arabic and over twenty different varieties of animal feeds marketed under the brand name “Barakat” and “Alpha”.
With the sheer hard work of people behind the company, Oman Flour Mills Company has built credibility which has earned it a good market share in the Gulf region and expansion of its exports to the country of Africa as well.
