Roles & Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

Business Development

Identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory and work toward increasing market share.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients to drive sales and service uptake.

Actively participate in client meetings, promotional campaigns, and local networking events to build brand presence.

Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to implement local outreach plans.

Gather and report customer feedback to support product and service improvement.

Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.

Business Operations & Customer Relationship

Ensure the business operation process is running smoothly from sample reception to timely delivery of reports.

Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.

Coordinate with the technical and quality teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of client reports.

Monitor and follow up with delayed samples or results to ensure prompt resolution.

Act as the main contact point for customer queries and complaints, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Ensure professional communication and regular follow-up with clients regarding progress, service feedback, and additional requirements.

Maintain a customer complaint log and ensure issues are resolved quickly and documented appropriately.

Leadership

Prepare and manage weekly timetables and shift plans for the business operations team.

Guide and support the team in day-to-day operations and act as the escalation point for operational challenges.

Conduct regular meetings with staff to review performance, address issues, and share updates.

Mentor and coach team members to enhance skills, productivity, and engagement.

Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to HR for development and training plans.

Promote a positive, accountable, and teamwork-oriented culture within the branch.

Financial

Manage and reconcile petty cash expenses for daily branch operations.

Ensure timely collection of payments from customers and daily deposits into AIS s designated bank account.

Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and receipts in coordination with the Finance Department.

Monitor and control branch expenses against the approved budget.

Branch Administration

Ensure the branch is maintained in a clean, organized, and fully operational condition always.

Oversee maintenance and servicing schedules of branch vehicles and ensure their availability for operational use.

Ensure all branch equipment, systems, and utilities are functioning effectively.

Implement and monitor safety and security measures within the branch, including fire safety, emergency exits, CCTV, and alarm systems.

Maintain updated branch asset registers and coordinate with head office for maintenance or replacement needs.

Ensure compliance with local municipal regulations and health and safety guidelines.

Coordinate with Al Madina Logistics supervisor on all necessary arrangements related to rent contract between AIS and Al Madina Logistics.

Reporting

Submit accurate and timely weekly sales performance reports.

Prepare and share monthly expense reports for the branch in line with finance requirements.

Track operational KPIs (e.g., report turnaround time, client complaints, sample volumes) and report anomalies or improvements.

Provide ad-hoc reports to management as required, including customer feedback summaries and market analysis updates.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: (Minimum)

Bachelor's degree Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, Or Chemical Engineering

Experience: (Years and nature of experience)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within food sector with a minimum of 2 years leading a team in a similar role.

Special Skills & Knowledge

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and business reporting systems.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle financial transactions responsibly and transparently.

Business Understanding

Good understanding of Testing , laboratories and Business.
