Roles & Responsibilities

As Operations Director, you will take full ownership of operational planning, resource management, and execution across all event phases. You ll lead cross-functional teams, manage complex vendor networks, ensure compliance with regulations, and keep delivery on time and within budget. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on operational expertise who thrives in high-pressure, high-profile event environments.

What You ll Do
  • Develop and implement comprehensive operations strategies and timelines for large-scale events.
  • Lead cross-functional operational teams, ensuring alignment between production, logistics, technical, and creative departments.
  • Oversee vendor selection, negotiations, and performance management to ensure contractual, quality, and timeline compliance.
  • Manage large-scale site builds, logistics, transportation, crowd management, and health & safety protocols.
  • Liaise with government authorities and stakeholders to ensure all permits, licenses, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Control operational budgets, identify efficiencies, and manage cost reporting.
  • Anticipate and resolve operational risks, adapting strategies to evolving event requirements.
  • Ensure smooth event delivery and effective de-rig, including post-event operational review and legacy planning.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.

10+ years of senior operations experience in large-scale live events, festivals, or complex multi-site projects. Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and large vendor networks in high-pressure environments. Strong negotiation, budgeting, and contract management skills. Expertise in event site planning, logistics flow, and safety compliance. Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
