Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
The Operation Engineer is responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, including
process monitoring, performance optimization, and coordination with cross-functional teams to
maintain smooth production workflows. In addition to operational duties, the role includes
managing the full procurement cycle: conducting market analysis to stay updated on current
prices , identifying and sourcing new suppliers, negotiating terms, and evaluating supplier
performance based on quality, cost, and delivery reliability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate
strong technical knowledge, commercial insight, and the ability to balance operational needs
with strategic purchasing decisions to improve cost-efficiency and supply chain resilience.
- Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize day-to-day plant or facility operations to ensure efficiency, , and
compliance with internal standards.
- Monitor and analyze production processes, troubleshoot operational issues, and
implement improvements to enhance productivity.
- Develop material plans based on sales forecasts and production schedules to ensure
timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Coordinate with sales, production planning, and finance teams to align inventory levels
with business demand and avoid shortages.
- Manage the full procurement cycle: identify operational needs, source materials and
equipment, and ensure timely deliveries.
- Identify, assess, and qualify new suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery
performance.
- Negotiate supplier contracts and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure value,
reliability, and supply continuity.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant industry
regulations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (production department )
3- 5 years of relevant experience
Technical Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with advanced Excel skills for
data analysis and reporting.
Strong expertise in documentation, reporting, and maintaining technical records.
Skilled in negotiation and contract management to optimize supplier agreements and
procurement processes.
Effective in cross-functional team collaboration, working closely with production, sales,
finance, and procurement departments.
