Roles & Responsibilities


Job Objectives:

The purpose of this Site based position is to organize and deliver work within the asset-integrated plan. Ensure work is executed and recorded correctly within the control of the work system. Ensure all work is risk assessed, controlled, and recorded within the asset management systems. Assure the quality and integrity of each Job, bringing work in on schedule and within budget. Monitoring day-to-day work of all reports, contractors/sub-contractors, reporting all potential safety and quality issues, and assisting with cost, progress, and materials reporting.

Expected:

  • Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 2 years study) or equivalent. Engineering Degree is preferred

Knowledge, skills and experience:

  • International or National Oil Company experience is strongly preferred,, with 10 years minimum of Maintenance experience (site experience in facilities exposed to H2S will be considered an added value)
  • Able to manage a team covering professional, trade, and direct sub-contractors.
  • Strong technical knowledge: understanding of physical principles and processes, control of oil industry equipment.
  • Strong skills in methods, reporting and organization.

  • Fluent in verbal and written English and Arabic. Good verbal, written and presentational communication skills; able to handle sensitive communications.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operation & maintenance delivery from the team.
  • Play an active role in the safety and quality management systems.
  • Continuous promotion of, and adherence to the asset management systems.
  • Participate in the implementation of the integrated asset, delivery, and business improvement plans.
  • Initiate safety, quality, and environmental processes within their area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment, and control of risks in accordance to client requirement
  • Monitor work progress and report against the plan.
  • Ensure safety, quality, and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control.
  • Ensure all workers within their area(s) of control receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal, and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific inductions.
  • Prepare, organize, and manage on-site preventive, curative and predictive discipline related maintenance for any new facility.
  • Support the planning team by giving regular reports on the on-site progress of daily tasks.
  • Write technical reports related to discipline related maintenance.
  • Lead improvement, to achieve the objectives, set in the management plan and budget in accordance with the operating framework in the Commissioning and/or Startup departments.
  • Lead and supervise his team, providing it with the necessary means to achieve the objectives of his area of responsibility in accordance with the strategies and policies of the company.
  • Define and supervise the needs and availability of spare parts and consumables according to the established budget, analyzing the gap to ensure an adequate supply.
  • Prepare and draw up work permits with associated documents.
  • Attend work permit preparation meeting.
  • Ensure correct monitoring of these work permits from opening until closure.
  • Lead and supervise isolations preparation and validation.
  • Ensure efficient technical support for the maintenance and production team.
  • Write specific procedures to commission, start any new facility.
  • Prepare preventive maintenance procedure.
