Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities to meet output, quality, and cost targets.

Ensure smooth coordination between production, quality, maintenance, logistics, and procurement.

Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet demand fluctuations.

Optimize production capacity, labor utilization, and machine efficiency.

Ensure full compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, BRC, FSSC, local regulations).

Enforce GMP, hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures across all operations.

Coordinate with Quality Assurance to manage audits, inspections, and corrective actions.

Ensure product quality consistency and minimize defects, waste, and rework.

Control operational costs including labor, utilities, raw materials, and waste.

Analyze production KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma).

Reduce downtime, spoilage, and inefficiencies through root cause analysis.

Prepare operational reports and performance dashboards for management.

Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors, line leaders, and operational staff.

Ensure proper staffing, shift planning, attendance control, and discipline.

Promote a strong safety, accountability, and performance-driven culture.

Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of operations staff.

Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

Ensure equipment readiness and minimize breakdowns.

Support capital investment planning for machinery and process upgrades.

Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.

Promote a safe working environment and investigate incidents and near misses.

Implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and operational risks.

  • Job Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Food Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in food manufacturing operations.
  • At least 3 5 years in a managerial role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and food safety systems.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience with production reporting tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
