Role: Operations Manager — Electric Scooter Sharing (Algeria) In Q1 2026, we are launching an electric scooter sharing business in Algeria, starting in Oran. We are looking for a senior, hands-on Operations Manager to lead market entry and build local operations from scratch. This is a foundational launch role. You will have full ownership of day-to-day operations, team setup, and operational performance, while working closely with HQ on strategy and scaling. Key Responsibilities • Lead the end-to-end launch of scooter-sharing operations in Oran • Design, implement, and own all local operational processes (fleet, field operations, maintenance, partners) • Build, manage, and directly supervise the local operations team and external service providers • Set clear operational KPIs (uptime, availability, response times, costs) and ensure consistent execution • Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and operational standards • Own operational reporting and performance tracking; provide clear, data-driven updates to HQ • Prepare operations, processes, and teams for expansion into additional Algerian cities What We Offer • Full ownership of launching a new market in Algeria • High autonomy and direct influence on operational and financial results • Clear growth path toward Country Manager role • Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus • Support from an experienced international HQ team Work Format • Full-time • Hybrid format: home office + active field operations control If you are a results-driven operations leader ready to build and scale a micromobility business from the ground up, we would love to hear from you.
Desired Candidate Profile
Candidate Requirements • 3+ years of experience in operations management within mobility, logistics, delivery, or field-based businesses • Proven experience launching or scaling operations from zero or early stage • Direct experience managing field teams and external contractors • Strong understanding of fleet operations, asset tracking, and on-the-ground execution • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take full ownership of results • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments • Fluent English (written and spoken) — required for daily work with HQ • Based in Oran or ready for temporary relocation during launch phase Nice to Have • Experience in micromobility (scooters, bikes, car-sharing) • Experience working in emerging or developing markets • Background in startups or high-growth environments • Basic financial and P&L understanding at the operational level Apply now or reach out for more details.
