Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role:
Real Egypt is seeking an experienced Operations supervisor to oversee our Dahabiya Nile Sailing operations. This role ensures the smooth daily functioning of all Dahabiya operations from embarkation to disembarkation, delivering an exceptional and seamless guest experience.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full operation cycle of Dahabiya Sailing: scheduling, pre-departure checks, logistics, guest services, cleanliness of the cabins and disembarkation.
  • Lead and coordinate on-ground teams, including cruise staff, hospitality crew, drivers, and local suppliers.
  • Supervise boarding and check-in procedures, ensuring guests are welcomed professionally and on time.
  • Monitor Dahabiya readiness safety checks, cleanliness, staffing, supplies, and boat appearance.
  • Ensure daily onboard operations run smoothly, with proactive handling of any guest needs or unexpected issues.
  • Act as the main point of contact between Real Egypt s central office, Dahabiya staff, Dahabiya captains, chefs, and vendors.
  • Monitor and manage guest satisfaction, ensuring services reflect Real Egypt s hospitality standards.
  • Handle last-minute changes in itineraries, weather adjustments, or guest-related requests with flexibility and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of boat cleanliness, food quality, client s requests and safety measures.
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate supply chain logistics: food, linens, maintenance, hygiene products, etc.
  • Collect and report guest feedback, operational performance, and team updates.
  • Recommend improvements in service, scheduling, or operations to enhance the guest experience and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local maritime and tourism regulations.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in tourism operations, hospitality management, or cruise logistics.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Aswan or Luxor.
  • Strong leadership, team coordination, and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.), basic accounting systems, and other organizational tools.
  • Strong reporting and documentation habits.
  • Understanding of Nile sailing logistics or Upper Egypt travel services is a strong advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality service.
  • Flexibility to travel along cruise routes and work irregular hours based on cruise schedules.
