Policies, Processes and Procedures

Operate assigned machinery and equipment safely and efficiently in line with Ducab Standard Operating Procedures, processes, standards and instructions and with lean principles

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)

Implement all relevant HSE policies, procedures & guidelines

Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member, as applicable

Reports

Provide input for the preparation of method statements and initiate any near-miss reports

Prepare various quality checklists for management to support quality programs

Housekeeping

Implement 5S principles to keep the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives for innovation and continuous improvement

Machine Specifications and Condition

Set up and run the machine efficiently to specified specifications to product the required output

Monitor the machine condition and performance and report to the Supervisor any deviations to achieve required efficiency and output

Quality Checks

Perform quality checks on the product to ensure conformance, raise notifications in SAP and report any deviations to the Supervisor for corrective action

Carry out routine checks on machine parameters in line with the Ducab check list to detect deviations or abnormalities and inform the Supervisor for prompt corrective action

Autonomous Maintenance

Undertake autonomous maintenance of equipment as scheduled by SAP to meet preventive and autonomous maintenance objectives

SAP system

Maintain a record of production in the log book and quality records in SAP to allow traceability, investigation of causes, deviations and generate corrective action

Training

Train new operators and assistants on machine
