Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ophthalmologist to diagnose, manage, and treat eye-related disorders. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both medical and surgical ophthalmology, providing high-quality patient care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction, and diagnostic imaging.
- Diagnose and treat eye diseases and conditions such as glaucoma, cataract, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and infections.
- Perform ophthalmic surgeries, including cataract extraction, LASIK, and other corrective procedures.
- Prescribe medications, vision aids, and corrective lenses as appropriate.
- Educate patients and their families about eye health, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest ophthalmology techniques and research.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a specialization in Ophthalmology.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice ibr
- Minimum 4 years of experience in clinical ophthalmology and/or surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in modern ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and surgical techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in pediatric ophthalmology or subspecialties (optional depending on the clinic).
- Ability to perform advanced procedures such as corneal transplant, retina surgery, or refractive surgery.
- Research and academic experience is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Hospital, clinic, or specialized eye care center.
Desired Candidate Profile

Board certification in Ophthalmology preferred.
