Job Description

As an Optometrist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye care and vision health services to patients. Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using specialized equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Diagnose and manage vision problems, eye diseases, and disorders effectively.
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, or other visual aids to correct vision impairments.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care practices and preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals for patient referrals and treatments.
  • Maintain detailed patient records, documenting examination findings and treatment plans.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments and technologies in eye care practices.
  • Perform and evaluate results from various tests such as visual acuity tests.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery.
  • Manage and maintain optical instruments and ensure their calibration and functionality.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote vision health education.
  • Advise patients on eye health supplements and lifestyle changes to enhance vision health.

Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Active optometry license in the state of practice is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills to accurately diagnose vision problems and eye diseases.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
  • Ability to use specialized optical equipment and diagnostic tools proficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage patient records and uphold data privacy standards.
  • Commitment to continuous education and staying current with optometry advancements.
