Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Proactively monitor database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks through query optimization and resource allocation to ensure optimal system efficiency.
- Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies, including testing and validation, to ensure data integrity and business continuity in the event of failures.
- Manage database security, including user access control, auditing, and encryption, to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Perform database installations, upgrades, and patching, ensuring minimal downtime and compatibility with existing infrastructure and software.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Holds relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in Oracle database administration.
- Demonstrates 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator, with a proven track record of successful database management.
- Exhibits a solid understanding of database architecture, including storage, memory management, and networking.
