Roles & Responsibilities

1. Orthodontic Diagnosis & Case Analysis

Conducting comprehensive clinical examinations of the teeth, jaws, and facial structure.
Utilizing Cephalometric analysis, Panoramic X-rays, and 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT).
Taking digital or physical impressions and intraoral photographs to create diagnostic models.

2. Treatment Planning & Design

Developing customized treatment plans to correct malocclusions (crowding, spacing, overbite, underbite).
Estimating treatment duration and providing patients with realistic aesthetic and functional outcomes.
Coordinating with Oral Surgeons for orthognathic surgery cases (Jaw Surgery).

3. Fixed Appliance Management ( )

Precise bonding of Metal and Ceramic Braces.
Placing and adjusting archwires, ligatures, and elastics to guide tooth movement.
Utilizing Self-Ligating brackets (e.g., Damon system) for efficient treatment delivery.

4. Clear Aligner Therapy ( )

5. Functional & Preventive Orthodontics

Designing and fitting functional appliances (e.g., Twin-block, Herbst) for growth modification in pediatric patients.
Utilizing Palatal Expanders to correct crossbites and narrow arches.
Implementing Space Maintainers to prevent future crowding in children.

6. Retention & Long-term Follow-up

Designing and fitting fixed and removable Retainers (Hawley, Essix) to maintain results post-treatment.
Monitoring the stability of the final occlusion and managing any relapse.

7. Patient Education & Compliance

Instructing patients on oral hygiene maintenance while wearing orthodontic appliances.
Educating patients on the importance of compliance with elastics and aligner wear schedules.
