Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids, ensuring patient comfort and adherence to physician orders.
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and neurological status, promptly addressing any deviations from the norm.
- Assess and manage post-operative pain effectively, utilizing various pain management techniques.
- Assist with patient positioning and transfers, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, including wound care and medication instructions.
- Prepare the operating room for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Respond to emergency situations, providing immediate and effective care to stabilize patients.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, demonstrating the required educational background.
- Holds a current BLS and ACLS certification, showcasing commitment to emergency response.
- Has a minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative or critical care nursing.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of anesthesia and surgical procedures.
- Exhibits exceptional assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in intravenous therapy and medication administration.
- Exhibits ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- Demonstrates physical stamina for prolonged standing and patient handling.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in additional languages a plus.
