Discussing medication options with patients and physicians to ensure that the best treatment plan is chosen

• Monitoring prescription drug costs and advising patients on how to lower costs while still using their medications safely
• Educating patients about their medications and treatment plans, including how to take medications properly and how to recognize side effects
• Explaining new medications or new uses for existing medications to patients, physicians, or other health care providers as needed
• Processing incoming prescriptions by reviewing them for accuracy and updating patient recordsbr> Dispensing medications to patients in accordance with physician orders, including creating customized medication administration regimens based on patient needs
• Maintaining inventory of prescribed medications and other medical supplies and materials used in the practice of pharmacy
• Performing clinical testing on new drugs to determine their safety and efficacy
• Performing other duties related to the operation of a pharmacy
• Comply with the hospital general policies and instructions
• Comply with Dress Code, Personal Hygiene and Punctuality Systemsbr>
