Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Holds continuing responsibility for the day-to-day outpatient pharmacy activities and coordinates on-going work activities for the requisition, preparation, dispensing, control, and record maintenance of pharmaceuticals.
  • Provides advanced pharmaceutical care services, including prescription review and patient counseling.
  • Contributes pharmaceutical input in line with the strategic direction and business objectives of the CMC and the pharmacy department.
  • Participates in updating nursing and medical staff on issues related to medication and pharmacy.
  • Follows up on receiving and verifying orders.
  • Dispenses medicines to patients in accordance with prescriptions.
  • Monitors and addresses pharmacy deficiencies.
  • Adds bills and transactions to the pharmacy system.
  • Monitors pharmacy stock custody and ensures compliance with expiration dates.
  • Bachelor s Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Must have experience in strong>Insurance Systems.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • 1 2 years of experience in a complex Healthcare Facility (Pharmacy Chains or Hospitals).
  • Current registration with the strong>Health Profession Council.
