Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Senior Project Manager and in coordination with the Liaison Officer, the Outreach Officer will:
- Engage with the local community through awareness-raising, information, and sensitization activities related to project objectives;
- Identify the most vulnerable families in the Jerash metropolitan area, in collaboration with the Municipality and other stakeholders, and using the most appropriate sources of identification;
- Support the project team in selecting eligible beneficiaries for participation in CfW and awareness activities, conduct household surveys and home visits to identify, verify, and monitor beneficiaries;
- Monitor the Cash for Work activities, managing the workers, their administrative and project s needs and requirements; facilitate the payments through UWallet
- Together with the Municipality of Jerash and the Partner organization, proactively contribute to the process of mapping and selection of CBOs in Jerash for the Social Restaurant; provide support to the CBOs throughout the project, identifying the appropriate workplan and coaching
- Support the implementation of communication and awareness campaigns, including those on social inclusion, inclusion of People with Disabilities, Cultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism
Desired Candidate Profile
Have Jordanian nationality or having the authorization to work in Jordan
University degree in Social Sciences or related fields;
Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles, with INGOs registered in Jordan, or nonprofit, donor funded organizations
Demonstrated experience in Cash-for-Work (CfW) projects;
Knowledge of Project Cycle Management (PCM);
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with beneficiaries;
Familiarity with the protection system and services in the area of intervention;
Excellent knowledge of the Jerash area;
Good organizational and documentation skills.
Arabic mother tongue and good command of English (spoken and written);
Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Teamwork ability and good coordination with partners, institutions, and donors;
Commitment to ARCS mission and humanitarian values
