Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an outstanding History teacher with the ability to teach (I)GCSE and A Level, delivering rigorous, engaging lessons that develop strong historical thinking and secure knowledge. You will guide students to analyse evidence, construct clear arguments and understand the significance of events, ideas and interpretations. We want a teacher who brings the past alive, makes meaningful links to the modern world and has a proven track record of strong results, fostering curiosity, critical thinking and high-quality extended writing.

Our curriculum is modelled on the National Curriculum for England and adapted to our own international context, leading to a challenging set of GCSE, BTEC and GCE A Level courses from Year 10 to Year 13. We feel the opportunities that students enjoy outside the classroom are just as important as the main curriculum and we offer an extensive and varied Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) programme.
Due to KHDA regulations, we only employ individuals with approved teacher status as well as a degree in their teaching subject area.
High Quality Degree in History or related fields (Must be MOFA Attested).
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (Must be MOFA Attested).
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the National Curriculum for England in the UK or UAE.
GCSE and A Level teaching experience Essential.
Ability to teach consistently inspirational lessons and a track record of outstanding results.
A commitment to the wellbeing of all students within their care
A willingness to make a broader contribution to school life.
The ability to quickly adapt to a fast-paced international, multicultural and demanding environment.
An individual with confidence and a proven track record of outstanding results as a leading subject teacher.
Cleared Police and Safeguarding Background Checks*.
