Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring P.E. Teacher (Female Only) to deliver high-quality Physical Education across the Pre-Prep and Prep School. The successful candidate will foster a love of sport, promote teamwork and resilience, and create inclusive, engaging lessons that support all learners. She will contribute to our co-curricular sports programme, uphold excellent pastoral care, and actively model the school s values. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing British-curriculum school and make a positive impact on pupils physical and personal development.
This role requires a teacher who is committed to developing pupils academically, socially, and personally ensuring each child achieves their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning
- Promote a strong work ethic, passion for Physical Education, and a culture of high expectations.
- Deliver a broad, balanced, and engaging PE curriculum in line with school schemes of work.
- Contribute to curriculum development and planning at long-, medium- and short-term levels.
- Create high-quality learning experiences that enable all pupils to reach their full potential.
- Plan and deliver well-structured, creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain excellent behaviour and use school behaviour systems effectively.
- Teach and model positive attitudes, teamwork, sportsmanship and resilience.
- Differentiate provision to ensure every pupil can access and enjoy learning.
- Demonstrate secure subject knowledge and stay informed of best practice.
- Set challenging targets and use a variety of strategies, technologies and resources.
- Assess, record and report on pupil achievement in line with school procedures.
- Analyse pupil progress data to inform planning, reporting and target-setting.
- Provide pupils with regular, constructive feedback.
- Engage with parents through meetings, updates, and communication as required.
- Follow the school s SEN and EAL policies.
- Participate fully in the co-curricular and school activity programme, including sports fixtures, clubs and events.

Pastoral Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils at break and lunchtimes as required.
- Support pupils physical, emotional and social development.

- Encourage high standards of personal hygiene.
- Maintain discipline in line with school policies.
- Apply the rewards and sanctions systems consistently.
- Remain mindful of cultural sensitivities.
Management
- Uphold all school policies, including Health & Safety, during all activities, lessons and movement around school.
- Maintain a safe, purposeful and well-organised learning environment.
- Work effectively with teaching assistants and colleagues.
- Promote strong home-school partnerships and positive relationships with parents.
- Stay informed about school procedures and documentation.
- Liaise with colleagues on matters relating to curriculum and pupil development.
Other Duties
- Register pupils attendance as required.
- Take on co-curricular activities (CCAs) in line with school expectations.
- Organise or participate in educational visits where appropriate.
- Support and attend school events, including those outside the school day (e.g., performances, sports fixtures).
- Maintain academic and pastoral records.
- Attend departmental, year group and whole-school meetings.
- Engage in CPD and, where possible, contribute to leading training.
- Provide internal cover as required.
- Participate actively in the wider life of the school.
- Fulfil rota duties.
- Support and participate in House events.
- Maintain punctuality and professionalism at all times.
- Use school information platforms (e.g., iSAMS).
- Uphold high standards of dress in line with cultural expectations.
Professional Expectations
- Uphold and promote the school s vision, values and culture, including local Saudi cultural expectations.
- Maintain high standards of professional conduct, integrity, punctuality and presentation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to school development and CPD.
- Ensure full compliance with all safeguarding and child protection requirements.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor s Degree /PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification /Qualified Teacher Status. Minimum of 2 years relevant teaching experience (Essential). Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum (Essential). A proven ability to inspire, motivate, and engage pupils of all abilities (Essential). Strong classroom management and pastoral skills (Essential). Experience working with EAL learners (Desirable). An understanding of the expectations of UK independent and international schools (Desirable).
