Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Package Engineering & Technical Ownership

  • Lead engineering activities for process packages such as:
  • Electrolyzer packages (ALK/PEM)
  • Hydrogen purification systems
  • Compression packages
  • Ammonia synthesis loop
  • Refrigeration systems
  • Nitrogen generation / ASU interface
  • Storage & loading systems
  • Prepare and review Process Design Basis, PFDs, P&IDs, HMB, UMB.
  • Define package specifications, data sheets, and technical requisitions.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and conduct technical bid evaluations (TBE).
  • Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and design risk assessments.

2. Vendor & Interface Management

  • Act as single-point technical contact for assigned packages.
  • Review vendor drawings/documents (GA, P&ID, calculations, cause & effect, control philosophy).
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, API/ASME/IEC standards.
  • Coordinate interface engineering between process, mechanical, piping, E&I, civil, and control disciplines.
  • Monitor vendor engineering progress and resolve technical deviations.

3. Engineering Deliverables & Compliance

  • Ensure packages meet:
  • International standards (ASME, API, ISO, IEC)
  • Environmental regulations
  • Safety and operability requirements
  • Support preparation of:
  • Operating philosophy
  • Control narratives
  • Interlock matrices
  • Performance test procedures
  • Review material selection and corrosion considerations.

4. Construction & Commissioning Support

  • Provide technical support during construction.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, and performance tests.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Ensure mechanical completion and punch point closure.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering.
  • 8 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Hydrogen / Ammonia plants.
  • Experience in handling major process packages in EPC projects.
