Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Package Engineering & Technical Ownership
- Lead engineering activities for process packages such as:
- Electrolyzer packages (ALK/PEM)
- Hydrogen purification systems
- Compression packages
- Ammonia synthesis loop
- Refrigeration systems
- Nitrogen generation / ASU interface
- Storage & loading systems
- Prepare and review Process Design Basis, PFDs, P&IDs, HMB, UMB.
- Define package specifications, data sheets, and technical requisitions.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and conduct technical bid evaluations (TBE).
- Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and design risk assessments.
2. Vendor & Interface Management
- Act as single-point technical contact for assigned packages.
- Review vendor drawings/documents (GA, P&ID, calculations, cause & effect, control philosophy).
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, API/ASME/IEC standards.
- Coordinate interface engineering between process, mechanical, piping, E&I, civil, and control disciplines.
- Monitor vendor engineering progress and resolve technical deviations.
3. Engineering Deliverables & Compliance
- Ensure packages meet:
- International standards (ASME, API, ISO, IEC)
- Environmental regulations
- Safety and operability requirements
- Support preparation of:
- Operating philosophy
- Control narratives
- Interlock matrices
- Performance test procedures
- Review material selection and corrosion considerations.
4. Construction & Commissioning Support
- Provide technical support during construction.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, and performance tests.
- Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Ensure mechanical completion and punch point closure.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering.
- 8 10 years of experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Fertilizer / Hydrogen / Ammonia plants.
- Experience in handling major process packages in EPC projects.
