Roles & Responsibilities
Role Overview
Our client is seeking a results-driven Paid Search Specialist to lead search engine marketing efforts and drive growth across an expanding product portfolio. You will own Google Ads and YouTube campaigns, manage technical complexities like Google Merchant Center and policy compliance, and optimize campaigns to maximize impression share. The ideal candidate has deep Google Ads expertise, thrives in fast-paced ecommerce environments, and is eager to make a direct impact on growth.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management & Optimization
- Lead Google Ads campaign management to achieve market-leading impression share
- Launch and scale SEM campaigns for new product lines with strategic keyword targeting and competitive positioning
- Monitor campaign performance daily, implementing data-driven optimizations to improve ROAS, CTR, and conversion rates
- Develop and execute testing strategies for ad copy, bidding strategies, audience targeting, and campaign structures
Technical & Platform Management
- Manage Google Merchant Center technical aspects and policy compliance
- Troubleshoot platform issues to ensure smooth campaign operations
- Support YouTube advertising efforts and explore emerging Google advertising products as they become available
Analysis & Reporting
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and optimize performance
- Create detailed performance reports and present insights to stakeholders on campaign effectiveness and growth opportunities
Collaboration & Creative Support
- Collaborate with creative strategy and production teams to develop high-converting ad creative and landing page experiences
- Additional paid marketing responsibilities as needed
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
Experience
- 1 2+ years of experience managing Google Ads in e-commerce, agency, or in-house preferred
- Expertise with Google Ads, Merchant Center, GA4, and Google Tag Manager
- Proficiency with Shopify, keyword research tools, competitive research platforms, and Google Sheets/Scripts
- Experience with AI platforms and knowledge of automation and machine learning applications in SEM
- Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field experience
- Experience in a start-up or growth company preferred
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented, organized, and strong follow-through
- Strong time management skills and sense of urgency
