Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and monitor surface preparation activities such as blasting, cleaning, and profiling before painting.
  • Verify coating materials, batch numbers, and specifications before application.
  • Ensure painting works comply with project specifications, approved method statements, and quality standards.
  • Conduct inspection of primer, intermediate, and final coating layers.
  • Measure and record DFT (Dry Film Thickness), WFT (Wet Film Thickness), surface profile, and environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point).
  • Monitor painting equipment, blasting machines, and application techniques used by contractors.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of paints and coating materials.
  • Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC team, project engineers, and contractors for resolving coating issues.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements during blasting and painting operations.
  • Conduct final inspection and punch list clearance before project handover.

BE/BTECH with 5-10 years exp in industrial projects / marine projects with NACE /FROSIO/BGAS Painting inspector certification /exp in oman / industrial projects / marine industry / exp is oman is must / Ready to work
