Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
ROLE SUMMARY
- Administrative and Legal Assistance: Provide support to senior paralegals and legal counsels, including drafting basic legal documents under supervision.
- Coordination with Law Firms: Liaise with law firms to obtain status updates and prepare first drafts of reports for review.
- Legal Research: Conduct basic research and retrieve relevant case laws, statutes, and regulations.
- Document Management: Assist in collating, reviewing, and maintaining corporate/legal documents, ensuring safe keeping of originals like agreements and title deeds.
- Contract and KYC Preparation: Review and prepare powers of attorney, KYC forms, and maintain a comprehensive contract database.
- Tracking and Reporting: Track job request statuses, take meeting notes, and prepare follow-up reports as requested.
- Internal and External Liaison: Coordinate across the MAFP legal function, internal teams, and external law firms as needed.
- Administrative Duties: Assist with filing, scheduling, communication handling, and ensure no work is done without instruction; no supervisory or advisory role assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong focus on accuracy, moderate organizational skills, and ability to plan ahead.
- Moderate understanding of legal matters, especially corporate issues, with the ability to work under moderate pressure.
- Good computer skills for legal research, document preparation, and database management.
- Fluent in English and Arabic, both spoken and written.
- Bachelor s degree in law.
- 1 to 3 years of work experience in the legal field.
