Roles & Responsibilities

Position Title:
Part-Time Instructor - Laboratory Management and Quality Control (MLS Program)

Responsibilities:

- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in laboratory management, operations, and quality assurance.
- Develop and update course materials and assessments aligned with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
- Introduce students to principles of quality control, quality assurance, laboratory accreditation, and performance improvement.
- Guide students through real-world applications of laboratory workflow, documentation, and safety protocols.
- Mentor students and supervise their practical and applied projects in laboratory management.
- Participate in curriculum review and continuous quality improvement efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

- PhD in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Healthcare Management, Biomedical Sciences, or a closely related field.
- Alternatively, an MD or MSc with significant experience in laboratory operations and quality systems.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level in English.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written).
- Flexibility to teach across University of Balamand campuses.

Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate should have one or more of the following qualifications:

- Professional certification in quality systems or lab management (e.g., ISO, CAP, CLIA, ASCP,GMP, GLP, T V).
- Previous experience with laboratory audits, accreditation, or health system performance metrics.
- Experience guiding capstone projects or internships in lab quality and management.
- Knowledgeable in Laboratory marketing financing and budgeting
- Experience in implementing the ISO, GMP, etc.
