Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Main Missions
- To lead the fund's partnership strategy by proactively managing the investment portfolio, monitoring cooperation activities with public institutions active in the startup ecosystem, and serving as the primary point of contact with institutional bodies.
Education and Experience
- Minimum university degree: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (institutional relations, public administration, management, economics)
- Significant experience in institutional relations or public partnership management
- In-depth knowledge of the functioning of Algerian public institutions
Technical Skills
- Language proficiency: Arabic and French (reading, writing, speaking) - English highly desirable
- Expertise in financial analysis and accounting
- In-depth knowledge of KYC/AML processes and associated regulations
- Proficiency in computer, digital and communication tools
- Skills in institutional project management and administrative procedures
Essential Qualities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with institutional stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously (multitasking)
- Strong sense of responsibility and team spirit
- Analytical and synthesis skills, creativity and proactive approach
- Diplomacy and the ability to navigate complex institutional environments
Interpersonal Skills
- Managing relationships with senior institutional officials
- A sense of public service and an understanding of the challenges of economic development
- Ability to influence and persuade institutional decision-makers
- Ability to synthesize information and translate startup needs into institutional language
Job Specifics
Work Environment
- Direct interface with Ministries and public bodies
- Close collaboration with the fund's internal teams
- Participation in the governance bodies of the startup ecosystem
- Representation of the fund at institutional events
Strategic Issues
- Contributing to the structuring of the Algerian entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Facilitating startups' access to public programs and schemes
- Developing synergies between the public and private sectors
- Participate in the development of public policies to support innovation
